The question often arises: "How does it feel like when you get rejected from SSB so many times?"
Of course, you feel bad. You must feel bad, otherwise, it never meant anything to you. At times, you might fail to understand what was so great about the candidates who got recommended. You might start feeling that the SSB may be partial to candidates with a Defence background, or you may even start giving excuses for failures.
However, if the following things start happening with you after repeated setbacks, you are bound to succeed one day:
1. The hunger for success gets stronger and stronger.
2. You start looking forward to your next SSB.
3. You start preparing more. You are not afraid of discussing your weaknesses and accepting those.
4. You start remembering what was different with candidates who got recommended.
5. You analyze your past mistakes and look at ways to correct those.
6. At least for yourself, you believe that you have it in you.
7. You start feeling that you are getting better with each SSB. You feel that you are growing as a person.
Experiencing these shifts in mindset and approach is a strong indicator of personal growth and increasing proximity to your goal.
